Do you need your flu shot? We now have flu shots for ages 6 months to age 65. We are still waiting on our doses for our 65 and over patients as the CDC is recommending this year for seniors to get the higher dose vaccination! All influenza vaccines will be quadrivalent this season with an updated A and B strain. CDC recommends most patients getting vaccinated this month. The effectiveness of our influenza vaccination changes year to year, however, even if the vaccination isn't well matched to the current circulating strains it will still reduce your risk of flu and/or the severity of the flu should you get it!
